Over 25 producers recently took the opportunity to take part in Noble Research Institute’s Grazing Essentials course in Leedey, Oklahoma. From May 13-15, the producers traveled from all over the state to learn about everything from shifting their mindset to being grazing-focused, setting up grazing assessments, setting up a grazing paddock, weighing the risks of overgrazing, measuring forage growth and availability, and so much more.
The Oklahoma Conservation Commission helped to significantly reduce the cost of attendance for the course through its sponsorship. We extend our gratitude to the Dewey County Conservation District for hosting the event and to Meg Greski from OCC Soil Health for training producers and providing course materials. Attendees left feeling more confident in their ability to enhance soil health and productivity while maximizing forage without causing overgrazing. They also formed valuable connections with other producers and received insights from researchers and fellow attendees.
We are deeply grateful to the Noble Research Institute for helping to bring this in-depth and highly beneficial course to Oklahoma producers. Keep an eye out for our next course offering through Noble Research Institute!
