Ellis County Conservation District Locally-Led Meeting

Since inception, one goal of the Conservation Commission has been to align their programs with the needs of the local people. In order to do this, public comments and participation is needed. Please join the Ellis County Conservation District and the Natural Resources Conservation Service offices in a locally led meeting on Thursday, October 28th at 2:00 pm in the Arnett City Park. The information gathered and decisions made at this meeting will directly guide Cost Share allocations and future program planning. In addition to discussing local conservation needs and establishing our top resource concerns; Jimmy Emmons, the Oklahoma Conservation Commission Soil Health Mentoring Coordinator, and Blane Stacy, Oklahoma Conservation Commission Soil Health Educator, will present information about cover crops.
