Employee of the Quarter: Ed Crall

Ed Crall, newly appointed water quality director of finance and implementation, was named Employee of the Quarter at the June 3, 2014 meeting of the Oklahoma Conservation Commission.

Ed Crall is honored at the June 3, 2014 Commission meeting. Left to right are Karla Spinner, awards and recognition committee chair, Commissioner Jim Grego, Ed Crall, and executive director Mike Thralls.

Prior to his current position, which Ed assumed following the retirement of a Conservation Legend, Jim Leach, Ed managed the Commission’s water quality and cost-share projects in the Sugar Creek/Cobb Creek watershed. While that job sounds like a trip to Candy Land, an excerpt from the Employee of the Quarter nomination form shows Ed pulled off a very tough job:

“Over the past several years, Ed has taken on the enormous task of coordinating and supervising a project that required federal, state, and local agency cooperation.  He has an incredible work ethic and has regularly driven many miles across the state to meet with landowners and agency staff to ensure that the project is accomplished in the best way possible.  Ed’s positive, energetic attitude helped keep this project moving forward and come to a satisfactory conclusion despite many hurdles.”

Way to go, Ed, and congratulations on earning Employee of the Quar
