The Oklahoma Conservation Commission unveiled the agency”s new official logo at the Commission meeting on May 7. The goal of selecting a logo arouse from a motion in OCC’s Awards & Recognition Committee who then conducted a contest in which OCC employees submitted design ideas. The three most popular designs, selected by employee votes, were presented to the Commissioners who approved the final design (shown at left).

Dianne Ireton, systems coordinator for OCC’s Abandoned Mine Land division, designed the winning logo. OCC will make a transition to using the logo on stationery, business cards, signs, the web page and the newsletter. The symbol will also be available for OCC employees to have embroidered on caps, clothing and other items.
