2025 Informal Educator Award from the Oklahoma Science Teaching Association Awarded

We are excited to announce Jack Hilgert’s (OCC/Blue Thumb Statewide Environmental Education Coordinator) latest award recognition through the Oklahoma Science Teaching Association (OSTA). Jack recently won the Informal Educator Award of the Year at the OSTA Celebration of Science Education Dinner on June 6. This honor recognizes Jack’s outstanding teaching, dedication to professional growth, and meaningful contributions to science education in Oklahoma.

OSTA is a state-level affiliate of NSTA, specifically focused on supporting science educators within Oklahoma. Its mission aligns with NSTA’s goals but with a focus on the unique needs and context of Oklahoma’s educational system and Oklahoma students.
