We are excited to announce Jack Hilgert’s (OCC/Blue Thumb Statewide Environmental Education Coordinator) latest award recognition through the Oklahoma Science Teaching Association (OSTA). Jack recently won the Informal Educator Award of the Year at the OSTA Celebration of Science Education Dinner on June 6. This honor recognizes Jack’s outstanding teaching, dedication to professional growth, and meaningful contributions to science education in Oklahoma.

“I am so proud of Jack and the contributions he has made to Blue Thumb and the larger environmental education community during his short time in Oklahoma,” says Rebecca Bond, Director of Blue Thumb, “I appreciate his energy, creativity, and willingness to try new things. I am excited to see his contributions to our program, agency, and wider community in the coming years. Congratulations, Jack!”
