SUMMARY:WILD about Rehab- Growing up WILD
DESCRIPTION:REGISTER: WildCare Foundation – Growing Up WILD Educator’s Workshop and Training\nABOUT THE WORKSHOP:Fall in love with outdoor learning with Blue Thumb and WildCare on October 18th at our Growing Up WILD workshop designed to equip educators with hands-on, nature-based activities that celebrate the wonder of the autumn season! This immersive professional development experience focuses entirely on the award-winning Growing Up WILD: Exploring Nature with Young Children curriculum, tailored for early childhood educators working with children ages 3–7 and classroom teachers leading activities in grades K-2.\n \nAs the leaves turn and the air gets crisp, discover playful, sensory-rich strategies to bring the outdoors into your classroom and take your classroom outdoors. From woodland creatures preparing for winter, to the sights, sounds, and textures of the fall season, you’ll gather activities that foster curiosity, critical thinking, and a lifelong connection to the natural world.\n \nExpect a workshop packed with exploration, laughter, and “a-ha” moments as we harvest fresh ideas for sparking wonder in young learners. You’ll leave ready to jump into autumn with lessons that align to standards, support child development across domains, and inspire both you and your students to go WILD for wildlife and the outdoors.\nThis workshop is designed to help WildCare staff and volunteers learn new and innovative ways to share their love for wildlife with the public. We have chosen the curriculum for younger children (Growing Up WILD) because the activities are well suited for community festivals and events where we interact with many families and children at once.\nDETAILS:Saturday, October 18th9:30 AM – 3:30 PMLocation: Norman East Library, 3051 E Alameda St, Norman, OK 73071\nRegistration includes:\n\n\nA full copy of the Growing Up WILD curriculum guide (27 activities, 400 experiences)\n\n\n6 hours of professional development credit\n\n\nHands-on training in fall-themed activities ready to use with your students\n\n\nLunch and supplies provided.
